Mono Black Control
22 Swamp 2 Crypt of Agadeem
3 Wurmcoil Engine 3 Grave Titan 4 Vampire Hexmage 4 Gatekeeper of Malakir 3 Skinrender
4 Doom Blade
3 Corrupt 2 Consuming Vapors 4 Sign in Blood 4 Duress
2 Ratchet Bomb
This was very obviously made to do some creature killing. This deck definitely lacks the finesse of my other control builds and just comes out swinging. I really like the large number of come into the battlefield abilities that are in this build. I feel like I'll get my money's worth out of any guy I resolve.
I really like Vampire Hexmage in particular as a guy I can cast early to get some beats in and later use to easily remove Planeswalkers or whatever charge counter nonsense that pops up.
I had completely forgotten about Crypt of Agadeem's existence until I was just looking for utility lands for various decks. I run enough creatures that I can always get a late game profit on mana to help me fuel out some extra brokeness. I have a high enough curve that it would certainly be helpful.
Rachet Bomb's place in the deck is uncertain. It gives me a way to deal with troublesome enchantments and artifacts that black naturally struggles with, but I don't know that there are really too many to worry about.
As a quick aside, I've noticed that I've jammed Wurmcoil Engine in every single build that I've posted so far. That card is just so busted! Thank goodness they made that guy a prerelease card so I could reasonably be able to acquire some. I really don't want yet another $50 mythic to need for a deck.
