Im putting up some information for an Innistrad League. However, since I do not provide the booster packs, I cannot be certain on the cost or if we will have enough packs available to get started this week. I just felt I needed to put something up here to try to get this thing started.
Innistrad League
start: Eventually
end: 4 to 6 weeks after Eventually
cost: I'm guessing about $30 to cover the cost of 6 packs to start and about 2 packs toward prize pay out plus any league fees.
league games: Each week you may play three league games. You will earn two points for a win and one point on a loss or tie. You may play additional games, but they will only count for tiebreaker points. You earn two tiebreaker points for a win, but lose one tiebreaker point on a loss or tie, and you can go below zero on your tiebreaker points.
If you fall behind on your league games, you may make them up on later weeks. However, you may only play each person once per week, including in tiebreakers. So if you have several games to make up but there are only a few league players around, you are just out of luck.
Special Rules: Each player starts out as Human, but can be turned into either a vampire, werewolf, or a zombie. Starting on week two there will be achievements available for extra points. Each group will have different achievements.
How you get turned: If you win your game, you do not get turned. You can only be turned into a vampire, werewolf or zombie on a loss. To be turned, you must take ten or more damage from one of these creature types. If your opponent damages you for ten or more with vampire creatures, then you become a vampire, same goes for werewolves and zombies. If somehow you get ten or more damage from two different creature types, you simply go with the one that got the ten points in first. Once you get turned to a vampire, werewolf, or zombie, you stay that way for the rest of the league. There will be some advantages and disadvantages for each group from week to week, so check the forums for updates. Also remaining human will have some advantages, but it won’t be easy to do.
League Meeting: At the end of each Friday Night event, we will have a league meeting. This will be a chance for us to keep up with details like, who has been turned to a vampire, werewolf or zombie. Also it will be the time you can add booster packs and turn in your league sheets with your game results.
