Thoughts on M13 Limited

After playing sealed, what observations do you have on this format?

Mine:
The rings are all good. Ring of Xathrid may be the best. I used it (I was U/B) and it never ceased to be ridiculous.

Courtly Provocateur is way better than I thought it would be. It caused many people to lose their bombs to a Ring-equipped Giant Scorpion. C-c-c-c-combo!

Chronomaton is brilliant for control decks, especially turn 1. It was usually a 4/4 that just owned people. It was fodder for Disciple of Bolas a few times. Lots of cards and life.

Speaking of the Disciple, that card is made for Exalted. Good clean fun.

Public Execution is a blowout.

Chandra's Fury is really good. Redirecting a Chandra's Fury is Really Good.

Guardians of Akrasa is a sick card in this, but it is beatable.

Crippling Blight kills Aven Squires dead. Other things, too, but boy, does it kill a Squire.

Mark of the Vampire is good. For realz, yo.

I have yet to see Switcheroo played. I want to know how people feel about it.

Archaeomancer makes all your bomb spells better. Two Sleeps is better than one.

Vampire Nighthawk is still great, but way worse than he was in Zendikar.

Mark of the Vampire is a very playable aura.

vanilla 2/2 for 2 are totally fine to play as a two drop

I still have yet to come up with how many Elvish Visionaries is to many...

Switcheroo may be useful if you take a creature they need like sublime archangel

Also ring of xathrid equipped to a vampire nighthawk is scary.

I personally think Switcheroo is good, but requires more set up than Mind Contol. You have to set up the situation where Switcheroo is profitable, making it a deceptively strong card.

After drafting, I still don't have a handle on this set. It should be noted that I got passed 2 Flames of the Firebrand, though. Feel free to pass me more of those, people.

I tried u/b, but I didn't care for my deck very much. I didn't have any 4 drops, so that was bad. I got Switcheroo played against me for the win, so that card is good. Stupid Rob with his stupid good plays.

Sometimes ya just get lucky...and sometimes your opponent doesn't draw that Nicol Bolas planeswalker that would have won him the game 5 turns ago. Oh well, that's how it goes I guess ;D

P.S. Archaeomancer can be good, and you're right 2 Sleeps ARE better, Patrick knows, he was a witness lol

I see green as a very good color in this set. Especially with blue. Predatory Rampage is pretty much a green Wrath of God, and when paired with Archeomancer the fun doesn't stop.
