I'm pretty sure the answer to this question is NO, but I have to ask:
If Vengeful Archon and Manabarbs is in play, can I tap for mana and redirect the Manabarb damage to target player?
And another question: If I pay mana into Vengeful Archon's ability, how long does it last since it says "the next X damage"? Can I prevent damage that would be dealt in a few more turns?

as far as mana barbs i wanna say you can not for sure. let me find out and get back to you on that one. but no you cant prevent damage from lets say 3 turns from now by paying mana now. the effect ends at end of turn.

as far as i understand you can float one mana, which would activate Manabarbs, and with Manabarbs activation on the stack use the Archon's ability with the mana floating to redirect the damage from Manabarbs.

So far I have two opposing answers on the subject, lol. So this is a good question. Can anybody find an official ruling? [John?]

ok to the archon vs mana barbs here is a official judge ruling.
Yes, but it requires a bit of "work" on your part. Specifically, you have to activate the mana ability of the land first, then respond to Mana Barbs triggered ability by activating Vengeful Archon's activated ability. That way, the "redirection effect" is created before the damage would be dealt.
