Okay so i've been trying to to put together some type of U/W/R control deck for about a couple of days now and i need some ideas to help me better it.. anyways here's the list
X2 Ajani Vengeant X2 Jace Beleren ---Elspeth ---Chandra X2 Day of Judgement X4 Lightning Bolt X3 Condemn X3 Cancel X3 Mana Leak X3 Preordain X2 Sphinx of Lost Truth X3 Oblivion Ring ---Wall of Omens ---Baneslayer Angel ---Inferno Titan ---World Queller ---Frost Titan ---Luminarch Ascension X4 Arid Mesa X4 Glacial Fortress X4 Scalding Tarn X4 Sejiri Refuge X3 Plains X3 Mountains X4 Island
Anything with a dash by it is a maybe. I would really like to take the jaces out and put in mind sculptors but i can't afford that right now. i've also thought about maybe throwing in time warp and pyromancers ascension, but i'm not sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

As far as card-quality goes, World Queller is just really, really slow for it's purposes. I wouldn't run it.

I saw a pretty awesome U/W/r deck last night. The highlights of the deck were: Ajani Vengeant Jace 1.0 Sun Titan Elspeth
He may have played Day of Judgment in the side, I'm not sure. But Jace 1.0 becomes very powerful with Sun Titan. I can't tell you how many times he would activate Jace to draw a card, lose the Jace, swing with Titan, get the Jace back, and draw another card. It was absurd. He also played Jace the Mind Sculptor, but I take it you don't plan an acquiring any of those for the deck. Elspeth should be played. The 1/1 is a huge deal believe it or not. I think you should run Path over Condemn. He only ran like 1 Condemn and 3 Path. Condemn is only astounding versus decks like Jund and RDW. I saw Baneslayer Angel turn the game around completely. Consider it. Its probably better than Sphinx of Lost Truths. If I was going to play a Sphinx in this deck though, it would be Sphinx of Jwar Isle. He didn't play Gideon, but I highly recommend Gideon since he just shuts down aggro decks. A 1-2 of. I don't think you need Lightning Bolt. I guess you play it to get rid of those creatures that you just couldn't stop? And randomly win the game? I don't think you need it for either of those. If you build/play this deck correctly you will see that the Lightning Bolt is insignificant. The only thing you need the red for is Ajani. So basically, I agree with Ben. Planeswalkers is a good deck.

Sun Titan plus Jace Beleran and Wall of Omens seems pretty good. You start off setting up a defense and drawing cards. Your opponent has to spend cards to get rid of both and then you drop Sun Titan and shunt all of your opponent's progress up to here? Wow! Someone please build this. Too bad there is not a blue enchantment that counters a spell in standard currently (as they usually cost 2 or less). That would be DUMB!
