Feel free to use this thread to trash talk the opposition and encourage your allies.
Way to go Cody and James! Both undefeated.
As for you Mirran losers, suck it. Phyrexia will emerge victorious!

Just remember, fools, the only general left undefeated in our first skirmish heralded the glorious anthems of compleatian! Phyrexia will prevail.

All we need is for Nathan to open a planeswalker so we can take control of it and use it to beat him.

I would like everyone to note that after week 1, Candy is in 3rd place. She didn't do that well as a Mirran, but as a Phyrexian, she has found her groove.
Also, it should be noted that Jason referred to Aaron as a "ringer."
His deck isn't really very fair.

I dont remember Aaron's deck being all that great. But then I didnt get to see that much of it since our game was over rather quickly.

Week 1 was a Blast! I played 3 very unique skirmishes.
I opened against a fellow Mirran lieutenant , King Mason. We battle tested our armies as we do often. In the end the newly acquired equipment and swarms of Oxida and the Razorgrass Fields prevailed this day.
As the dawn broke the next day, and our training was to continue, the Phyrexian Praetor, Randus Clarkgoth, emerged from a hidden series of tunnels from deep within the core. Unfortunately for this Phyrexian SCUMBAG, he chose to attempt to pour his ichor ridden hide into the Oxida Ridge through my realm of protection! We smashed his army, and sent his infection back deep into the tunnels invigorated and feeling indestructible behind our Ally Venser and our legion of Myr.
And then came the Horror, Codyxx of Scars. What appeared at first glance to be a scouting party near a Quicksilver stream at the base of the Oxida ridge was soon discovered to be an invasion force, the likes of which this army was NOT prepared to confront. Vampires and Thopters and Darkness!!! Help us Karn...the darkness threatens to consume us.....

I'm always amused by the many ways people find to screw up my name.

We have been slowed.
We will not stop.
We have been bent.
We will not break.
We have been set back.
We will stab you from there.
Prepare for compleation.

My army withdrew back beyond the foothills of Oxidda only to find we were encircled behind enemy lines that did not exist the last time we passed this way. A trusted group of Leonin scouts were sent out to gather reconnaissance on what we may be up against. Their return was swift and the news a mixed blessing. While it only appeared to be a supply line that had aggressively advanced, it was under the current command of what can only be called an Ichor Demon. This master of pestilence was surely more powerful than we were prepared for, but we could not allow more troops to arrive surrounding our position. And if we give our lives weakening this horror, then may our bretheren live to endure.
The attack began. As the battle reached a bloody pinnacle it was then I truly realized that this was more than a Demon driven with only the purpose to spread death and decay. For some unknown unholy reason, one of the Phyrexian Praetor's was in control of this advanced caravan. This knowledge filled my soul with the will to crush this foe and save Oxidda NOW! As it looked as if my troops would falter and flee, I charged forth with all my blind courage. My troops joined in the crusade and the Phyrexian force was sent reeling back along the Quicksilver flows back toward one of the many Gateways. While the Demon Nathiax Garzia cried he would have revenge we pushed past back to our home for fear of following them into a trap.
Now we could only hope that our citadel remained untainted. Our souls and hearts were filled with joy as we saw the bright, shining towers untouched the next morning. Our troops rested as we waited news from armies we knew would be arriving soon. The first army arrived next mid-day. It was General Jones and his hoard from the Marshes many days away outside of Mephidross. They seemed quite battle tested from their skirmishes and engagements to get here, but that did not stop them from wanting to immediately train and share the tactics of the enemies with my lietuenants. The knowledge was invaluable and my men performed flawlessly in a mock battle.
As the week progressed news began to came in that a Champion from the Tangle was approaching a gate to the core from the East. We sent out messengers to see how we could help. None came back.
As we gathered counsel to decide our course, Count Clark from the Fields of Razorgrass arrived. A shameful lineage fued over surnames demanded that we meet for 1 on 1 battle prior to allowing his army within the city walls. First to draw blood would add a mark to the tally in the fued, where tradition would be fulfilled once the first family drew blood one thousand times. After swords had clashed, shields had deflected, and incantations had been muttered, Clark had been cut, and his counsel was welcomed into our ranks.
As the doors to this fortress closed, I wondered...what would be next.
